The four application deadlines in the teachers scholarship guidelines

The 2025 cycle of the International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship had four application deadlines, from April 15 to October 31, depending on the month the programme starts. Each deadline has a matching review deadline for Recommending Institutions and Host Institutions. The dates come from section III of the Application Guidelines for International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship 2025, published by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC).

Deadlines by programme start month

All times are Beijing time. Section III sets the four lines below.

Items 1 to 3 do not give a year. Item 4 gives March 2026 as the start month.

When online registration opened

Section III says online registration would be available from February 20, 2025, on the scholarship website on chinese.cn. Under the same section, applicants may search for Recommending Institutions and Host Institutions, submit application materials online, and track the application process.

When results are announced

Section III says the results will be announced about three months before the programme starts. It gives no fixed announcement date.

Review of applications

Section III says CLEC will entrust an expert panel to review the applications. It says decisions will be based on HSK and HSKK levels and scores, geographical distribution, and other factors.
